Right — been on this thing for about five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I'm UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn't ever get my head round what an ew payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd eyeball it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that's where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at european odds converter and it's free with no account nonsense.
What actually made a difference is the nerdier extras. There's an probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin's baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent for when I'm covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The design is a bit basic — not much polish, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. There's nothing on the app store, it's browser only — slight shame but worth saying.
So yeah. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still does the maths on paper, give it a go — it's saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
