Right — been using this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I could never figure out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I'd eyeball it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There's also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it's here calculate a patent bet and it's free with no account nonsense.
The thing that really changed how I bet was the more serious bits. There's an implied probability calculator which shows you the overround, and there's the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I'm spreading across selections.
It's not perfect mind. The design feels pretty plain — no flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. There's nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
